A Colorful Goodbye

A Colorful Goodbye

After five years at Radboudumc—working in the Health Academy—I recently said goodbye! I’m now off in search of new challenges. I don’t quite know yet what that journey will take, but for now, it gives me more time and space to focus on creative projects and drawing. And that already feels like a gift.

To express my appreciation one last time to my colleagues, I made a paper bookmark for everyone who joined my farewell. Each one featured a small watercolor and fineliner illustration, elegently punched corners, a colored string, and a funny saying:

"It’s bean a pleasure working with you!"
"Thank shallot!"
"Thank you berry much!"

Yes—if you just saw the image of a green bean or a shallot, you might wonder what on earth I was thinking. But once they read the wordplay, I hope it made them smile and think back on our time working together.

With sunny weather, homemade cake, coffee, and the green bushes behind our office as a backdrop, we shared stories and laughter one last time. A sweet goodbye.

Grateful for the past, curious about the future, and enjoying the creative space in between!
